Cancellation Policy

Terms and Conditions of Hire: No alcohol or soft drinks can be brought onto the premises by hirers. If you require wine or champagne for toasting at weddings this can be purchased by the Hall. If you/your guests bring alcohol onto the premises, you will forfeit your bond. There is no charge for the bar/bar staff. The bar provides a range of alcoholic and soft drinks at reasonable prices. If you have any particular alcohol requirements please let us know when booking. Last orders are one hour before the booking end time. The Committee will, if we feel that the nature of the event warrants it, employ security to ensure the safety and security of the building and those attending. The cost for this security will be passed onto the person hiring the premises. No refund will be given if the event is cancelled within 14 days of the date of hire.. The bond will be returned a week after the event, if there have been no breakages or damage to the premises. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure the hall is left in a clean and tidy condition and all equipment replaced in its correct place. Kitchen: • The kitchen must be cleaned by you, or your caterer, and left as it was found directly after the event. • If the kitchen requires cleaning following your use, you will be charged for this, and it will be deducted from your bond. • Your caterer must comply with the current food hygiene and allergen rules and complete a kitchen diary entry. They should leave a menu of what has been prepared and served. • Hirers should ensure that any caterers have their own insurance. If we are called out outside of your booking time then there will be a £20 charge.. Fire: • In the event of a fire, the person in charge of the hall or function will instruct all people to vacate the building using the nearest available exit. • Do NOT attempt to extinguish the fire using the appliances provided unless it is considered safe to do so. • Call the Fire Brigade by dialing 999 and report the fire. The address of the hall is: Skipsea Village Hall Bridlington Road Skipsea YO25 8TJ • The person in charge must position themselves to guide the fire brigade to the hall when they arrive and advise if everyone has managed to vacate the building. • Do not re-enter the building to collect personal belongings or for any other reason unless advised to by the fire officer attending. • Please contact one of the people from the list below Relevant Policies: Please familiarize yourself with all the relevant policies and procedures of the village hall. Copies are held in the hall and on our website. Data Protection Policy Skipsea Village Hall uses the personal data you have completed on this form for the purposes of managing the hall, its bookings, and finances. Data may be retained for up to 7 years for accounting and legal purposes or for longer where required by our insurers. By making this booking you are consenting to us holding your information for these purposes. We do not share any information with third parties except where required to legally and when your information is no longer needed to manage your booking or for legal purposes your information is securely disposed of. Our Data Protection Policy is available on our website or from the hall Secretary.
